Hyundai Veloster 3rd door?

Question

I saw one tonight. What I found weird is the 3rd door did not have an outside handle. Why not?

They are made that way.  I have a Pathfinder.  No handle for the back door.  I have to find the switch, hidden under trim below the window.

The front door overlaps the third door, so the third door cannot be opened unless the front door is already open. To prevent anyone attempting to open the third door before the front door, and also to keep the styling as close as possible to the opposite side, the "outside" handle for the third door is hidden by the front door.

It's safety door for putting your kids in the backseat and your purse and your other valuables. You can open it with your remote control you can open it from the back seat you can open it from the driver's side door but not from the outside without the remote control
